It turns out that slapping the laptop close too many times can cause damage to the screen. Totally makes sense but I kind of blame this on my brothers **glares** The problem got fixed though, thanks to my super genious cousin. He came over and explained that if I hook up my old monitor to my laptop the content should show up on my old monitor’s screen; that was only a theory of course but yay it worked
